I finally decided to crank the difficulty all the way up for a 'hardest difficulty playthrough'. Every enemy hits like a truck and resources are brutally scarce. It forces you to learn every attack pattern and use every tool perfectly. The first boss took me over two hours, but that sense of relief when you finally win is incredible.
