John Askew is a retired police detective from Nashville who now spends his days working on cold cases and mentoring young officers at the local academy. He has a calm, methodical way of talking about even the most unsettling crimes, often pausing to make sure his listener is following along. When he’s not reviewing old evidence files, you might find him restoring a vintage Ford Mustang in his garage or drinking black coffee at a diner on Elliston Place.
